I love a good story. I love being grabbed by a book, the rush of excitement that contains a sense of recognition. Your mind whispers "Yes, this is a great story!" as you turn the pages. It's about the characters, too. You almost fall in love with them. So you race along trying to find out what happens to them because you're genuinely concerned about them. But when you get to the end of the book, you're in mourning; you want to stay in that world longer, and spend more time with those people.

For I've spent years teaching myself to write exactly those sorts of tales: strong on story, high impact on your emotions, distinct characters. You tell me if I've succeeded - it's your opinion as my reader that matters the most to me.
